I'm still not certain which flush button to press after which toilet activity. The smaller one for the smaller visits? Or the bigger one which is more of a default button? It confuses me each time. Have you managed to figure it out?

Isn't the usual convention that the smaller button for smaller visits?
Nope, especially not the double buttons on top of some toilets where, when you press the small part the entire button follows whilst when you press the large button you seem to get a small flush.
Yeah, I've been confronted with that exact model and I was very confused. My guess is as follows:
The small button alone if you've made pee-pee, the big button alone if you've made boom-boom, and both buttons together if you've made a bloody mess of things.
You see the problem here? Three interpretations already. I doubt that anyone ever made any user tests. 🙂
#4 Small flush, small button – big flush, big button.
We had this type of buttons in the apartment I lived in in Austria last week. The small button also pushes the large button and you get a large flush. The large button give a small flush. Indeed confusing.
I don't think these behave like that +Melker Nilsson – but in the Austrian case the big button was the default then.
